I've downloaded some MS firewall fixit routine, but that did nothing useful.įirewall seems to be stuck - won't switch off, won't allow me to add access for programs. I tried switching off the firewall, but it immediately starts up again. I tried adding Chrome to the list of programs in firewall that are allowed access, but on clicking OK, firewall reverted to the settings I saw when I opened it - that is, a few services have access to the internet, but no browsers or other programs I recognise. I can no longer access the internet from my laptop, and I get a message saying windows firewall is blocking access by my browser (Chrome, IE).
